Liteary Plagiarism

So, I belong to these listserves that give me the skinny on what's going on in communities I'm interested in. One post that has got some people wondering is whether a big company like Carl's Junior ripped off a Filipino American sketch comedy group. Hmmmm. What do you think? The writing seems rather similar, no?

I think the Carl Jr's legal team can rest easy on this one. :-)

I don't see anything after your question. Is it invisible?

Jeff, LOL. There's a part of me that wants those guys to find a big firm on a pro-bono basis and see what happens.

Los angelista, you don't see the You Tube visuals? Is your computer equipped?

Ah, it reminds me of the amazing scene in the movie MONTENEGRO...when a guy has a huge cleaver sticking out of his skull...and he asks while pointing to his head, "Do I have something here?"
I think this form of joke has been around since the beginning of jokes.

No YouTube clips. So odd but it's just a ginormous blank space.

Sob, now I'll never know what greatness I could've witness.

Gee... would that be the same Carl's Jr that was known for deliberately hiring young people of color at the lowest possible subsistence wage, with little or no chance for advancement to management? Or the Carl's Jr that donated $250,000 to defeat the ERA and another $250,000 to help Anita Bryant's efforts to pass anti-gay Prop 6; or the Carl's Jr. whose founder was charged with insider trading by the SEC? Or all of the above?
