Literary 10th

Skylight Bookstore, the place where I'd been hosting events for the past six years, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend. It has become a vital part of literary life in Los Angeles. We'll be having all sorts of food and fun stuff this weekend. C'mon by.

Congrats to Skylight! I started going to Chattertons when I first came to Los Angeles in--yikes--1985. I ran lights for a production at the Skylight Theater that used to be next door. At that time I lived near the corner of Edgemont and Fountain, and this was my first L.A. neighborhood. It was less cool back then, but I loved trying out the different restaurants, etc.

So glad Skylight's still around. So supportive of local writers!
